Elspeth Wilkes
Piano/Music Director
Born in Leigh-on-sea, Essex, Elspeth studied at King’s College, London, Trinity College of Music and Royal Academy of Music. She has performed at the Royal Opera House; the Royal Albert Hall; St Martin-in-the-Fields; several West End theatres and at the Ravenna festival, the Edinburgh Festival and the Dublin Theatre Festival winning an ‘Oscar’ award. Elspeth has worked with BBC Wales, Royal Ballet, Royal Shakespeare Company, Opera up Close, Opera Brava, Merry Opera Company and Opera de Bauge. She is the conductor of Thurrock Choral Society and assistant conductor of Barnes Choir and Putney Choral Society. Elspeth enjoys quizzing in her spare time and has appeared on Mastermind, The Chase, The Weakest Link and Countdown!

Dominick Felix
Tenor
British tenor Dominick Felix studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying with Adrian Thompson and Susan Waters and has taken part in the Clonter Masterclass Series and Workshops with British Youth Opera.

Matthew Quirk
Bass-Baritone
Matthew Quirk spent many years advising boardrooms of international companies across Europe, where he saw passions played out in operatic dimensions. Roles include Benoit/Alcindoro (la boheme), Leporello (Don Giovanni ), Bartolo & Basilio (The Barber of Seville), Sarastro (Magic Flute), Germont (La traviata), Raimbaud (Count Ory), Kecal (Bartered Bride), Jupiter (Orpheus in the Underworld), The Old Man (Bloch’s Macbeth), Swallow (Peter Grimes), Calchas & Agamemnon (La belle Hélène), Marcus (Kiss Me, Figaro!), Street operas in England and Ireland, ten UK tours of three different staged versions of Handel’s Messiah, Drunken Poet (Fairy Queen), Polyphemus (Acis and Galatea), Ipparco (L’Egisto), Pandolfe (Cendrillon), Concerts of opera and cabaret items on tour & at St Martin’s-in-the-Fields. He studies with Gary Coward.

Maggie Cooper
Mezzo-Soprano
Maggie Cooper is a British Mezzo-Soprano, described by ‘The Times’ as ‘captivating..naive and delicate, yet tough, touching and never cloying..she delivers with searing power and passion’. She was awarded a scholarship and trained at GSMD.
Mezzo highlights include the title role of Carmen and Hexe Hänsel und Gretel. As a soprano her operatic highlights included Cio Cio San Madame Butterfly (Opera Up Close) Mimi La Boheme (Longborough Festival Opera YAP), Donna Anna Don Giovanni. Maggie is passionate about contemporary opera. She recently premiered the role of Princess Diana in ‘A Silver Spoon’ by Lisa Logan with Anthony Hose at the Beaumaris Festival.

Rachel Duckett
Soprano
Winner of the Voice of Black Opera international competition in Birmingham in December 2022 - British coloratura soprano based between London, Paris, and Nice. She is a recent finalist for the 1st international edition of Les Grandes Voix Lyriques d’Africa competition in Paris presided by Africa Lyric’s Opera’s Patricia Djomseu and soprano Patricia Petibon.
